Suppose it's own thread doesn't hurt although we did post about it 5 days ago. Been running good here for over 4 days although I don't pay a lot of attention to the times or my rac or anything.

So far in 24 hrs I've see about a 20% decrease in completion time (SSE3) I'm going to apply it to all my systems.

No we won't. If you open his app_info.xml file you'll see it is set up to run 5.17 WU's. Just right click on it and select "Edit".

Now they've released and updated version of what looks to be a really cool tool, the KWSN Test & Benchmark Tool.Any guinea pigs there to give it a try? Anything to save a few minutes of crunch time and improve that rac.

I'd pig it, but it requires .NET, and I don't want that anywhere near my machine!

I noticed on another forum one of their members complaning about there being no graphics with the optimized client. He was told that optimized clients didn't have graphics. Well, the chicken app is available with graphics! You just have to download the right package. Of course, no one here looks at the graphics now, do they? Although the graphics are a great way to get your friends running BOINC for TSWB.

Right on, Ron--they dl'd the wrong app. There's one with and one without graphics.
1. Don't RTFM.
2. Complain stupidly.
