"Location" under name
 (N/A)
Many of you have (United States) below your names.  Mine doesn't.  I must have missed something during the signup and now can't seem to figure out how to edit that information.

That's due to RDNS lookup.  Evidently, your IP isn't mapped to a particular country.  I should probably turn off the IP display if I can, I didn't realize that everyone could see it.

Evidently, only the country shows up for non-mod or admin level users.

Re: "Location" under name

My IP (71.145.198.251 according to "Dynamic DNS Client") maps to adsl-71-145-198-251.dsl.austtx.sbcglobal.net, according to tracert's rdns lookup.  I'm sitting behind a router, would that make any difference?

Mine is not a country.

I don't think so.  I think it just looks at the IP range and infers country based on that.  It's nothing to do with your particular setup.
