height_spacer.gif  (United States)
Xaak,

Nothing new, nor pressing, but in FF, the forums page has a pic that (according to FF) contains errors - height_spacer.gif

Just get the little broken image icon between the categories.

Re: height_spacer.gif  (United States)

What version of FF?

Have you tried IE_Tab add-on?  Cures most of the stuff in 1.5.0.7.

I've found that 2.0 hangs itself too often for my liking.

Re: height_spacer.gif  (United States)
Currently using Version 2, but it's the same in 1.5.x.x

Never used the IE_Tab add-on. I figure if it doesn't display right natively, oh, well.

It also displays between posts.

Ok, I think I fixed it.  Can you check for me?

Thanks.

Well, I don't use firefox (breaks way too may sites) so if you don't list them there's no chance of getting them fixed.

Well, here you go then. Just the errors for now.
  • Error: r is not defined

Ok, I'm going to need a bit of a hint here.  What were you doing at the time so maybe next time I try Firefox I can try and duplicate it .

Re: height_spacer.gif  (Canada)
If I try to reply in FF, the browser hangs. Once it's working again, this is the error that is reported:
  • Error: r is not defined
    Source File: http://www.tswb.org/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Ftb3HtmlEditorProvider/ftb3/FTB-FreeTextBox.js
    Line: 305
One other warning that shows up and may be key is the following entry which shows up multiple times, with various line numbers:
  • Warning: Error in parsing value for property 'cursor'.  Declaration dropped.
    Source File: http://www.tswb.org/DesktopModules/Forum/Themes/DNNSilver/dnnsilver.css
    Line: 683
Another warning, once again with various line numbers:
  • Warning: Unknown property 'moz-border-radius-topright'.  Declaration dropped.
    Source File: http://www.tswb.org/Portals/_default/Containers/DNN-Blue/container.css
    Line: 17

Ok, I'm in firefox now, and am posting.  The only problem I see is that when you click on the RTF box, the cursor doesn't show up until you start typing.  I didn't get any errors.

The one with the "cursor" I may have fixed (or not), but it's not an issue as it's just a style sheet and by itself it won't cause any real issues.

Also, drag and drop works fine here with the smilies.  Double clicking doesn't seem to do anything.

Re: height_spacer.gif  (Canada)
Could be the different version of FF. The cursor shows up blinking next to the subject, and then clicking in the text box causes ff to stop responding. Wait for the box to pop up telling you a script has stopped responding, click to stop it, and then one can type just fine. It only happens the first time one tries to type a response after ff has been opened. After that it is fine.

Drag and drop test of smilies:

Re: height_spacer.gif  (United States)
Ok, I got the drag and drop thing, I happened to grab an image that was the same size as a thumb .

It looks like the problems are burried deep in the Rich Text control that's being used, and the ton of Javascript required to make it work.  It's not going to be easy figuring out what's going on or why it's happening.

Two words (sort of):  IE Tab .
