Ok, new editor is in place.  It looks like it works OK from Firefox, but you guys let me know.

That's too bad, because they have yet to discover a cure for it!

Gary, FYI, this thing is slower than molasses in January in Winnepeg, let alone Connecticut.

Ok, I'm in firefox now, and am posting.  The only problem I see is that when you click on the RTF box, the cursor doesn't show up until you start typing.  I didn't get any errors.

The one with the "cursor" I may have fixed (or not), but it's not an issue as it's just a style sheet and by itself it won't cause any real issues.

Also, drag and drop works fine here with the smilies.  Double clicking doesn't seem to do anything.

I get the opposite, with smileys from the toolbar--double-click OK but no drag'n'drop.

Gary, what version Firefox are you using?

Cursor seems to disapear still with FF 2.0. Am trying the smiley thing now, doubleclick or drag n drop isn't working.... thanks for the text editor fix, though!

Where are all the uploaded gif's?  I tried the new Insert/Edit Image feature but it needs a permission change.

Yep it does, however the forum smilies don't work.  Double click or drag and drop won't work?

huh, I know Gary said he was looking into the smily thing. Here's another smiley bug in FF 1.5x and 2.0
While dragging a smiley into the editor, it shows, but once you update, it doesn't show in your post. Also the editor thinks it's a link, and everything you type after a smiley shows as a link. I can edit it out though.

Here's a smiley- and here's an example of what happens if you type after the smiley.

edit- also, when editing a post, after updating, I get taken back to the start of the thread if the thread is multiple pages.

I see the smiley in the editor but in your post it shows red X's  I'm using IE.

trying this out in IE7. Doubleclicking doesn't work here either. neither does dragging and dropping, either... right click, copy, paste in forum, maybe?

Well, the new editor broke the smilies in IE, so I'm reverting back for the time being.  This really sucks, as I don't have access to the source for the Rich Text Editors themselves to see what's going on.

Oh, well.

I do.  Firefox just has too many problems so I don't use it.  The site works, your browser's broke .
