Help for forum editor?  (United States)
How about a pointer to some "helps" for the forum editor?  This is not one I'm used to and I can't figure out how to do some things.  For instance:
1) How do I insert a smiley?
2) How do I make the forum prefs stick?  I changed it to "the other" style and now it's back to the one that doesn't show the "insert" buttons properly.

Re: Help for forum editor?  (United States)

Changing the preferences should stick, but your browser may be caching the stylesheets.  Do a forced refresh or reload.   If you're still having problems, let me know and I can make sure it's taken in the Database.

I don't know if there are editor specific help.  Not quite sure about why the smiley's aren't working either.  I'll let you know what I find out.

I know it's not a great solution, but m00kie found a Firefox extension, I think it's called IE Tab or something like that.  I think he said everything seems to work fine using that.

I use IE most of the time, and everything works fine there.  I'm new to firefox so I have to find all the quirks first before I can fix them.

OK, theme seems to be sticking now.  Maybe it was a cache problem yesterday.

How about simply tell me how to do a Smiley.  I click the "Insert Smiley" button down below.  The new window pops up.  Then, how do a get a smiley back onto this screen.

Once you click on the Insert Smiley button and the page opens, just double click on the smiley of your choice.  It will insert it where ever your cursor is.

Re: Help for forum editor?  (United States)

I installed IE Tab.  The "smiley insert" works properly from an "IE rendered" page -   Also, when I double click on the smiley, the "smiley window" disappears.

It doesn't work from Firefox.  And, the "smiley window" does not disappear.

This post was done using IE Tab.

Yeah, still some quirkiness. Setting up IE Tab to use IE to render teamstarfire.net pages seems to solve most issues

I use IE and the box closes for me when I double click on a smiley too.  So it  must be the norm.
