Smiley problem (United States)

I build a post and put in smilies. The HTML is correct, but when it displays, it's always the "simple smiley" that shows. Xaak's smilies display OK for me. Some other folks have the same disease that I do. (This is being done from the "IE tab" of FF.) [EMO]smile.gif[/EMO] = smile, [EMO]cool.gif[/EMO] = cool.

I'm aware of the problem and will be digging thru the code to figure out what's going on.
