I beleive ya'll are about there. Looking nice!
What I see with regards to form/structure is-
a: even though it appears to be almost exactly the same height as the letters, the globe looks ever so small
b: there needs to be a full space, perhaps a space and a half between the World and BOINC. perhaps a half space between Team and Starfire, to drw it away from BOINC, or go down 1 pt. on the font size, I dunno. But a definite increase of space between TSW and BOINC.

I agree with Paul, more space is needed before boinc.
I don't know about anybody else, but the lower case r in world grates on me for some reason. Team Starfire is in leading caps, which looks great, but something hits me wrong about world.

OK, here's the aesthetic problem...
World and BOINC are the same type size, but not on the same baseline, and it's never going to look right this way. I suggest that "Team Starfire" be moved outside and above the lines, and World moved up to the same baseline as BOINC.
boog and nutcase are gonna shoot me, I just know it.

4 does it for me.
I don't like the new boinc logo enough to see it's pattern repeated, and I think putting a spinning globe for the O in #4 makes it our own and quite unique.
#3's font, especially the R comes off too angular compared to the BOINC font for me.
Nutcase, can you make the globes spin? .
