EDIT: Removed as I've apparently drawn the ire of folks here.

I belived hank's post was in response to This deleted post.
But if that's so, it still doesn't make sense.
Good luck with Justin, but it's been going on for so long that you have to believe he either approves of it or doesn't give a crap.

Am I offbase if I request for no more new threads about BBR? I can appreciate that other forums have mods that like to swing a big stick. But let's not attract them over here to make a mess of ours too please. I'd hate to see this get any messier, especially considering I have no idea what it is all about in the first place. I just got here, I'd like to stay, but fights on the forum suck.
Let's move on. Please.

I also just got here but I'm certainly no stranger to members of either "Team Starfire", nor am I stranger to these back and forth pissing contests among members and ex-members.
I want to be part of a TEAM again, to crunch in unison with others who remember why we all got started in the first place. I came over here and joined this team because I spotted names of some old teammates that I still respect. There are an equal number of old teammates still on the BBR team that I also respect.
How about we avoid the BBR bashing (I'm active there in 3 forums) and instead enjoy our little team here? Besides, "Success is the best revenge" [EMO]smile.gif[/EMO]

Apologies to you two, and to all, you are certainly correct.
Welcome back, NicoleDiana, sorry we had to vent like that.
It just gets my blood pressure up everytime it comes up....

My intent isn't to bash BBR as a whole ; as I stated I have been a member there for a long time, and continue to be.
I posted what I did here because I knew that it would be actually seen instead of deleted as it would there.
Clearly that was a bad idea, so I'll just go back to crunching silently for the team, and keeping my mouth shut.

I'm with you on that. That said, I won't stop anyone from posting their feelings about the old place. The venting can be therapeutic. But I will refrain personally. No point beating a dead horse after all.

I'd prefer that people open their mouths and share rather than keep feeling in. It has been seen and won't be deleted. And I'd love to see an update if you get any results. Edit: Small edit since I see you removed your original post. They went off the deep end long ago. That's why we ended up here.

I hate to see that you've removed your own post. Heck, I've posted many a thing in my time that had people wanting me banned a time or two but still...I wouldn't delete a thing.
You post, people respond. Doesn't always have to be in agreement so please don't censor yourself.

I don't know what you posted, but I stand by what I said elsewhere, if it's needs to be posted, post it.
I don't think that anybody should self censor or be censored by others as long as it's not pointless personal insults etc.
I'm sure we can all keep to one thread or whatever to respect the wishes of anybody who doesn't want to see multiple threads about things elsewhere, but not talking about it at all would just leave others with no place to vent.

I'd really like to see you rush back and replace your original post.
The only modding done here is to untangle threads, duplicate posts, or rarely, remove some foolishness on request of whoever posted it and had second thoughts.
Having said all that, this forum remains the site where "I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."
ed.: I tend to agree that some people would probably do well to forget, if not forgive as well, but if they need to vent, well, we're friends and personally supportive here first, and DC geeks second.

I'm not asking for you to be silent, I'm just saying 1 thread is enough for this. I can avoid 1 thread. However, I'm sure we all share lots of other interests that are much more fun to talk about. Stick around, talk about your crunchers, and projects - BOINC and non.

P.S. For what it's worth, I received PM's from other team members supporting my opinion. Apparently I am not alone in my concern that this wasn't going in a good direction this morning.
