I was never a part of the old BBR. I was a member of the Little White Dog group. I became very annoyed with LWD since they had over 4000 members on their forums yet only about 50 or so were actually participating in the DC. In fact, it became quite apparent that the main admin was a jackass and had a hard on for screwing with me. I finally had enough. I trolled through the other teams around and saw that most were so huge and complex that getting to know many of the folks was impossible to do. So I knew I'd rather crunch for a smaller group and one that was full of enthusiasts. I do sometimes miss some of the weird forum posts but I really don't miss people posting the same story 3 and 4 times.

I agree that its a tough thing to do leaving something you care about. YOur sanity is much more important. These guys haven't had a bad thing to say about or to me since i joined.

It was said before come into the IRC and set a spell and enjoy the good company.

Wow, Schnook is slacking. If you are feeling left out, I could call you names or something. :)

And I love your Avatar!!! FreeBSD is what I started crunching on back in the good ol' days, and I've got two Crunchers running it today... (Sadly though their RAC is lower than similar machines running XP)

Question though broadbandit, You usta post in the "All Things Unix" forum back in the dslr days didn't you? (hell you may still if you're not banned)

If so, do you remember where they got their forum logo?
