New Boinc Version  (Brazil)
Boinc manager shows a new version to download.
But... the download page is blank, it shows nothing!
It's just me? :(

Re: New Boinc Version  (Canada)
I'm still using older versions. No cuda running here so no need to go to a newer BOINC.

Well... I've just wanted to know if the download page is working.
I'm just playing with a Win7/WinXP Dual Boot machine.
Wanna try Boinc running Win7.

Re: New Boinc Version  (Brazil)

It doesn't here. And I've asked to a friend near me to try that page and... nothing to download as well.
Firefox and IE only shows a blank page as I said before.
So, I don't think it's my firewall or anything else related. Weird. :(

Very strange. We can always post up what you need here, or send it to you on IRC.

Re: New Boinc Version  (United States)
typically BOINC determines what version you need when you contact the site.  I'm betting that Boinc doesnt recognize win7 yet. you may have to look at the "all versions" page and pick one from that.

That friend near me doesn't run any Boinc project.
Tonight at school, in distinct lab hosts without any restriction, the same problem: blank!
And there is no Boinc running anywhere at school.
Maybe, on Berkeley side, a Proxy/Firewall rule blocking IP range from South America area???

Probably you're right, but if Boinc recognizes Vista there's a chance to get it running on Win7, I think. And how to look at the "all versions" on the download page
if all I can see in the browser is a blank page?

Very very weird.

Yes, Ron, I know... but due that kind of problem I just wanna KNOW WHY I (as many people around here) can't have
access to the Boinc Download Page .
Thanks anyway. :)

Re: New Boinc Version  (Brazil)
There we go... I've just tried an anonymous proxy to reach http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php
and... voila! Fiat lux: I can see the download page as it used to be. Just can't download the file due
the proxy settings as follow:

Resource Error: An error has occured while trying to browse through the proxy.
The file your are attempting to download is too large.
Maxiumum permissible file size is 4.05 MB
Requested file size is 6.35 MB

Now. What do you think about that? Berkeley is blocking some IP ranges, IMHO.

I understand that in the past Brasil had a problem with spammer/hacker attackers so a lot of domains block specific blocks to keep the hackers out.  yours might be one of them
BTW try using privoxy and tor client
it takes a bit to setup but you should be able to get your file.  Question even if you get your file would it be able to send/receive work from berkeley

Kemp - have you tried posting on the BOINC message boards alerting them to the trouble you are having?  Perhaps they can make some adjustments and help you.

Hey skildude! It works! Running Win7/Seti with AK v8 and everything looks fine. :)
Boinc version 6.2.18 downloaded via a web base proxy.
