Be sure to edit your Sudoku preferences to "Run test applications? Yes" or you won't get work from this alpha project!

This might be a really dumb idea!

  • running (uploading result? reporting result?) sudodu, BOINC terminated unexpectedly, twice
  • shutting off preference for test applications, then updating sudoku from BOINC, seemed to have no effect
  • resetting project merely destroyed and redownloaded 50 wu
  • no new tasks, resetting, same thing--50 wu making a u-turn

Finally, I detached from this project.  it's definitely alpha, and I recommend running it only on isolated boxes with no other BOINC projects.

I have credits from it, seems like the wu locks up at 11.5% for a while but will finish

Mine died.  CPU usage went to nearly nothing, BOINC service exited unexpectedly, memory usage was strange, like nothing was freed.

By me...says: "If this project were a chat user on irc, it would be kicked for flooding.

So...

/kick sudoku (flood)"

50 wu were downloaded with a 25-hour deadline and 50-second estimated process time each.  So far, so good.

Results: 3 declared redundant and recalled by system.  47 not completed on time.

Most got to about 14% complete and ran with both elapsed time and time remaining increasing together; with 50 wu, the box did little else all day.

/kick sudoku
