This is it, the last prime grid chhallenge of this year. Currently we are ranked at 15th this year in the Prime Grid challenge series this year ( http://www.primegrid.com/challenge/ch...). We can and will finish better than 15 imo.
This upcoming challenge will be a 3 day run beginning 18 December 2009 17:47 UTC and ending 21 December 2009 17:47 UTC. Running the AP26 application only. For more info, look here http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread....
I will see you there~

I might jump in on that one with all cores. See where I'm at a few days before the challenge. Anyone else?

I'll be all in, should have at least 36 cores active. maybe a couple more if I can scrounge up a couple more drives :P

I'm in. the ap26 should be very fast. I ran a few on my amd 5600 32 linux and they came in at 32 minutes. Windoze should be faster and win64 should be fastest.

Make sure you have good cooling on your cpus!
the Ap26 cpu app is causing my cpu's to run about 10C hotter than any other PG app

A guy from team 2ch has returned a GPU WU in 500 seconds. This is going to get ugly if a lot of Nvidia users show up
I noticed that PG only sent about 6-10 WU's per core to start then when I send work in they send a bunch more. I assume that they are attempting to reduce the amount of aborted work at the end of the challenge

Could be right about trying to keep the aborts down. I did notice at the warehouse, first time asking for tasks, got 24 on every machine, 10 more for 1 CUDA. This was as soon as the challenge started when I'm assuming a ton of people were pulling the trigger. Subsequent requests maybe 20-30 minutes later either got a message of no work available or up to 36 (8 per core). Now I'm sitting with 150 wu on this quad w/ 1 Cuda
Hmm, take that back, I'm getting a BOINC message from the project-
12/18/2009 4:21:04 PM PrimeGrid Message from server: (reached limit of 100 GPU tasks in progress) So 100 for gpu and 50ish for cpu on this machine?
I just attached a win32 quad w 1 CUDA, in 10-15 minutes it received 500+ wu. Same PrimeGrid message about 100 for GPU..

still 9th place so far and we normally run around 14-15th still more than 48 hours to go though so lets keep crunching.
I've dropped to around 250th place. man there are a lot of folks this round
/edit I dumped my Linux box in and got 4000credits moved me up to the 220's and kept us in 9th place by about 1k
