Dunno if anyone is up for this.


The Christmas Race 2010 will be set from 1st to 24th December and is a great opportunity to show support for the humanitarian research done at WCG - while having great fun as a team.

Simple, straight forward, pure points accumulation from start of race to end. It's to your advantage to start early, and more so to wait until the race starts to report tasks, although there's a daily quota and no points are awarded until validated.

I did a little reading on the challenge. It appears that the challenge is about the % increase a team has. So a team like ours that doesn't run much WCG can get a huge % change and get higher stats. Teams that are always running WCG will get less.

I kinda like the idea since, as we've seen on PG, the same 3 teams are always on top pointwise

Does anyone have a recommended project to run? (I'm on a P4 3.2 GHz machine if that matters.)

I've been runnit SETI since 1999, wow, it's soon 12 years, so I would say that, otherewise, run what you feel you want to dedicate your CPU capacaty too

All I can say is look at the projects there that interest you and go from there. I'm really not sure if any projects offer better points on WCG over others.

the cure muscular dystrophy project has varying length WU's some are 10+ hours the Cure cancer has relatively short ones 2-3 hours if you are worrrying about wu length
