Wireless Router Done  (United States)

My Wireless Router quit on my, so I got 3 machines unable to report, normally. It will be real ugly for a few days to get my WUs reported. The router is not that old; problably less than 9 months. So I'll see what the warrenty states, but I'm sure it will be something like 30 days or 30 minutes what ever comes first.

Looks like a trip to the local computer store for a replacement.

Greg

Re: Wireless Router Done  (United States)
Depending on which brand, most of the name brands are at least 1 year warranty, I have a Motorola that gave 2 years.

You checked the AC transformer?

Re: Wireless Router Done  (United States)

I have to pull the warrenty on the router. It is a Belkein Pre N router. I'm not sure how to check the transformer. The power light is on, but beyond that I wouldn't have any tools to check the transformer.

Thanks,

Greg

Re: Wireless Router Done  (United States)
I had a Belkin pre-N router and I have to say I was disappointed.  It seemed to just fail every so often like it was overloaded.  Not just wireless but wired connections as well.  I picked up a Netgear draft N with gigabit wired switch and it has been excellent thus far

Crazee, I have that same Netgear and I love it.  Speeds are pretty close to 100mbit wired pretty much all over the house, and even outside.  They did that router right.
