Ides Of March PG challenge  (United States)
A nice short 1 day challnge for Primegrid.  Running PPS LLR WU's.  These are some really short WU's so it should move really quickly.  I am so looking forward to a faster paced challenge.

I might partake. Any 64 bit advantage?

Only a minor advantage just like seti.  64 bit still running 32 bit on this project.  However these WU's typically finish in less than 5 minutes on a relatively fast PC.  So it's not like theirs a whole lot to get an advantage on.

I think I can hold off cranking out Seti for 1 day.  BBR can wait 1 extra day.

I'll be there.  Looks like they used my suggestion to add a team column to the participants page.

YEah it makes a nice recruiting tool.  Anyone with a decent score, is from North America,  and no team gets a PM

I might have to look into this for the quick one day race.  Do I have to complete my SETI units first or can I just pause it without losing anything?  Sorry if it seems like a simple question, but I have never done anything like this before.

I know when I went from SETI to MilkyWay and back to SETI it was fine because I didn't have any sort of time frame to make the switch.

Nope - just highlight seti on the Projects tab and hit the suspend button.  Then attach to PG and run it for 24 hrs, then tell PG no-new-work and when it runs out Resume SETI.

ONe big thing, make sure you have the specified PG project checked and not any others.  Its up to you to be on the right project to get work for it.

Skildude is right.  Once you sign up for an account with PG, make sure you open your "PrimeGrid preferences" and *only* check the correct application for the challenge.  The project has published the apps they will be tracking for each challenge here (under the "Project" column):

Okay, I am all set up and only have Proth Prime Search (LLR) checked.  I have all my computers attached to the project, joined Team Starfire World BOINC for this project and waiting for the competition to begin.

I attached as well. I figured I would flush the processor out a bit before I suspend SETI and Climate.
