Re: Read anything good lately?   (United States)

I love when they put out a series of books again, with different covers and looking all modern.

It is like taking a Disney movie out of the vault to show it to the new generation, while stating it is now "digital with dolby sound"

I think the books are all still in the order they used to be.  I was thinking about just picking up the set to put next to the original hard covers.  [EMO]bigsmile.gif[/EMO]

Re: Read anything good lately?   (United States)

I am currently reading "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova - she took the tired vampire mythology and actually wrote something entirely fresh.  As good as "Interview" by Anne Rice (almost) and she has the ability to really transport you to locations and time.

I recently finished reading all of Dan Brown but I have to say that "Angels and Demons" and "DaVinci Code" were the best.

Any chance you still have any of these Paul?  Looking for volumes of "Glittering Stone" - especially "Bleak Seasons".

Re: Read anything good lately?   (United States)

I also enjoy just about anything from Greg Bear or Stephen Baxter.  Though Stephen Baxter has a thing about having someone die from Vitamin A overdose in a lot of his books
