Congrats on getting DSL! I remember when I finally struck gold and left satellite internet behind. I was a DPC/DW customer for 7 years. I also don't have any major complaints about my satellite experience, but DSL has been all the sweeter. Enjoy!

Hey, there's already a FredG here! Wouldn't that cause confusion?

That's not a bad price either considering what you're getting. I'm paying Optimum Online $132.00 for the Triple Play (Internet, phone, TV) plus I'm shelling out another $140.00 to T-Mobile for freakin' cell phones/data plans (three phones).

Re: Goodbye Satellite Internet!

Congratulations, I know how I felt when I got high speed Internet, some... hm... 8 years ago I think, I really don't remember.

But it sounds expensive I think.

And also I don't like Internet telephony I tried it for 3 months and during that time it went down like 2 times per week for days. Or rather until I noticed that it was down and had to restart the modem and then I may had missed lots of important calls.

The quality of the service was just too poor.

I have ADSL 8mbps down 1mbps up for $47 (or 379 sek)
per month, no additional start or installation costs.

and I also only use "
cash card"  for my  cell phones for  some $9 per month.

I'm going to save about $125 a month with that package.  I just have to get use to the slower download speeds.

MikeC, I'm not much a gamer.  The only thing I like to play is Flight Simulator and Combat FS.  I don't even have them loaded now.
