This is why I hate March weather. When it gets over 50F, it should never drop below 40F. And what the hell are "Ice Pellets"?!

    And what the hell are "Ice Pellets"?!

     Ice Pellets are little rain drops that start out as liquid then go through a part of the atmosphere where temps are below freezing.  Very similar to sleet.

    We were near 70 yesterday and now we have a "Winter Storm Warning" for tomorrow.......grrrrrrrrr

Actually, we have about the same weather as you,
but I can't exactly say that it's bad...
I suppose it depends on what you expect...

Last time we had ice pellets, it came down like granulated sugar crystals, piled up to 4" and was impossible to plow.  Of course, it was also impossible to sink in whilst walking, too.

As part of Mayberry's public services, you're expected to know this stuff already!

Well, they're calling for 8-12" of snow here in New Jersey starting tomorrow morning and ending by about 7AM on Saturday.  Tomorrow's commute should be fun .

Hence why I moved to NC.

It was a lovely 78F and sunny today.  I hit golf balls at lunch and took a nice walk after dinner with Jacy.

Unfortunately, the nice ends there.  Torrential rains and winds the next 24 hours... :(

I agree, March sucks for its unpredictability.

We've been all over the map. Last Monday it was +15C/59F, then a cold front swooped in and we had 15cm/6in of snow. It warmed up quickly and everything melted. Today it was +15 again. This coming week it should be +9C/48F most of the time.
