The Surgery went well
 (United States)

BethAnne made it through the surgery without loosing her last remaining kidney and all is well. She's now on the road to recovery and doing very well.

Surgery was 4.5 hours (or so) beginning Friday morning around 7:30am. I didn't get to see her until around 5pm that night. It made for a very long and stressful day. She spent the weekend in ICU and is expected to be moved to a regular room some time today. They were supposed to move her yesterday but they didn't have any open beds.

She actually got up this morning and walked around the ICU for a couple of minutes which is a far cry from what she could do yesterday so we're all hoping she'll be able to come home around Wednesday.

We've still got 6-8 weeks of recovery once she gets home but I'm just glad the worst of it's over and she's doing well.

Thank you all for your prayers and support it has helped greatly.

That's great news!  Tell her to take it easy and don't overdo it.

Great news! BethAnne was sent home today. She was doing so well the doctor wanted to send her home last night but she didn't feel ready so she stayed one more night and made the trip home this morning. She was more concerned about the car ride then anything else and wanted to make the trip when she wasn't as tired. The hospital was aver 100 miles from home.

She'll be using a walker for the next few days until she is completely steady on her feet but it sure is going to be nice having her home instead of in the hospital.

Yeah can't wait for that. The weekend rides just aren't going to be the same while she's recovering. I know she's going to be real ancious to get back out again too.

I'm glad to hear that things went well with the procedure and that she is doing well and is at home.
