Seti@home 6.03 Enchanced issue (United States)

Curious if anyone else was having this...

Latest versin of BOINC, SETI 6.03 Enhanced (not running any optimized versions), W/U's will randomly not process at all. I've got 2 W/U's going for 10 hours now, at 0.0% complete. CPU time is maxed, everything looks ok, except for the time related to progress. A SETI W/U I can usually get through in 5-6 hours. Only way to fix it is to abort the W/U. It then passes onto the next one and that will usually work for a while. Been having this randomly for a few weeks now, tried a re-install, nothing seems to be the ticket. And it seems isolated to my machine, the wife's is fine. Not using CUDA, just AMD64 3800x2.

Is it overclocked? If it is back it down a little and try that. You may have a bad stick of ram. If you have two sticks in the computer try taking one out and run it for a while then switch it out with the other stick. See if one of them is the culprit.

No OCing. I replaced my RAM about 6 months ago, and at that time passed 24 hours of Memtest, but I'll run another pass across and see what happens.

Wasn't that an issue with certain BOINC versions? Can't quite remember. If I were you I'd try optimizing. 2 of the WU's you aborted were AstroPulse WU's and they take a long time, especially if not optimized.

I haven't had any issues with astro pulse, just 6.03 SETI.

Ran memtest86+ for ~20 hours error free, I'll track down an optimized version and give that a watch.

this is beta but there haven't been any complaints about it.
and a reminder to stop BOINC before running the installer and restarting boinc once you are done
