WU length now up to 60 hours?
 (N/A)
I normally crunch an S5 WU in about 6-7 hours.  The one I'm munching now (l1_1100.5_S5R1__453_S5R1a_1_0) says it will take 60 hours!

Anyone else get one of these?

No, never. I would abort that one, because that's not even nearly normal. I know it seems like a bad idea, but you could do several other good wu's in that time span.

I aborted it.  Now we'll see what it does with the new one.

Have you gotten any of the "i1" WUs?  It appears that my previous ones (in the 6-7 hour range) were all "h1" WUs.

All h1's here so far, and all in the 7 hour range.

Cache is still full of h1 units... hope they work this glitch out (if its a glitch) before I get any I1 units!

Just h1 WUs here. Sounds like there are some actual long WUs being sent out randomly.

Stuff I read on the E@H boards indicated that slow machines, like mine, should not be getting the long WUs.  However, it's now munching on its second one (after flushing the first one).  It's done 9 hours and got an estimate of 70 to go.  Over 3 days on one stinking WU!  My credit better be more than the 13 I've gotten for the last few h1 WUs.

No long WU's here.  If I get some 60 to 80 hour WU's, sorry they will be flushed.  That's too long for any project.  Too many chances for a WU to error out with that long of a crunch time.  Try running your benchmarks again.  You may have an erroneous benchmark posted.

Sat_Man, although I agree with what you're saying, I'm going to let this one crunch to the end, if for no other reason - I'm apparently the first one of the team to get one of these suckers and I want to see what the credit is.  If it's not 130, or so, credits, I'm going to be on the E@H boards in full yell mode.  Unfortunately, my machine will be down from 9am on 8/30 until 6pm on 9/6.  So, I hope this sucker finishes before then.

14:27 done, 61:25 to go. :)

Sucker finally completed.  Here's the last 2 results:
239,041.00 seconds w/ 122.13 credit (66 hours)
25,725.00 seconds w/ 13.23 credit (7.1 hours)

So, even though it took 10x as long, I got 10x the credit.

Next one is another I1 WU.  It won't complete until sometime after we return from a 1 week trip.  We have a granddaughter that needs help celebrating her 6th birthday.  Plus, grandma & grandpa have to help her pick out a new bike.  (Since her little brother got a new bike for his birthday on 6/28, we thought she needed one, too, especially since she has outgrown the old one.)

Thanks for the update.  At least we know if we get some of the long WU's that we will get the credit for the extra time!  I just hope none of them error out.
