See post at http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/forum_thread.php?id=7289&nowrap=true#95854 for problem at E@H.  Many of us lost considerable WUs while E@H was down because we were running 5.10.x BOINC.  I'll be moving up to current as soon as my queue has drained.

BTW, what's the deal with BoincView?  It doesn't seem to exist any more?

no need to drain the cue.  just install over the old boinc and it will move everything where its supposed to go.  no fuss no muss

BoincView 1.4.2 still works with BOINC 6.4.7, which is the version I just downloaded.  Upgrade from 5.10.x seems to have happened without a hitch, so I'm now "up-to-date".

I've used boincview with 6.6.17 without problems, so it should keep working.

If anyone has managed to get a silent install-as-service working, please let me know. The method listed in the Wiki flat out doesn't work, and I've had no luck finding the right combination of switches that does. And until I can, my systems will be stuck on 5.x.

Looking at the BOINC message boards you aren't the only one trying to do that.
