Modified By nutcase on 7/13/2008 9:25:49 AM

ok, what is a Ho to do?

this is projects I know are having troubles:

1. Milkway:  not giving out new work

2. seti: having database problems

3. Rieselsieve: servers cannot be found (they cannot find the guy who has the servers)

4. Cosmology: cannot upload wu's or get new work

5. ABC: errors when trying to contact servers. Boinc says they do not exist

This is usually fairly accurate and updated frequently enough, although I don't remember the specifics of their update timing.  The site www.esea.dk will have that information.

You can also go there to choose different colors and transparency options.

That would look good on the left side of our home page, in different colours of course.

Set it up with whatever colors you'd like and I'll add the graphic to the home page.

Nope.

I stuck the space in "http ://" and the comments after causing all the options to appear as a full template of the parms going into the php script.

Yeah, I caught the space, but the site wasn't serving the graphics, even by the links above, for about half an hour.

O.I.C.

What do you expect?  Their own project is "pa" which I assume is European for pre-alpha.

Crunch QMC!  They always have work, real stable, good credits.

Re: what projects are up?  (United States)
Riesel Sieve is run by a couple of guys who were math students, ran the project out of a dorm room for a while. They've since graduated, and have worked the sieve app so well that other individual efforts have teamed up, incorporating their versions in. It's really been done on a shoestring budget, and had been hosted at the apt. of one of the admins. B2 is the guy hosting it, several weeks ago he moved, the servers are physically in place, but there seems to be some technical difficulties getting it back on line. I've been hanging out in their IRC channel waiting for some news, and getting some background info on the project.

Superlink had a good run of work, but it is dry now, admins are working to fill the queue, I'll post back if and when they have another run of work ready.

Although there are no new wu for orbit at this time, and if you have crunched any for this run that's out now you know that they can take 250 hours on my quad that's clocked at 3.0 Ghz, if you haven't set to get no new work , you may get wu's from people who have aborted their wu. This I just found out as i just d/l one I wasn't expecting. Since it's already been running for 8 hours I'll just let it run. I was going to wait to get more from orbit untill they shortened wu length or improved credit for them but I didn't set for no new work.

c'est la vie.
