There's a team of two now

400+ people (I'm 433 lol) have signed up in the past few days getting ready.

News

September 20, 2006
NanoHive@Home opened enrollment for beta testing today. Even though we're still preparing the beta test work and clients, several participants have requested that they be able to attach to NHAH now so that when work is available they can immediately begin crunching. NHAH work and clients will be uploaded next week.

You only need two tools - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40; if it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

From the Nano@home boards:

Ok, we shot at getting everything ready this week, but it doesn't look like we're going to hit our mark. We're very close though and the WUs will flow on Tuesday, October 3, come hell or high-water.

Thanks for your patience,
--Brian.

Re: Nano@home

Well, the finally got the gates opened with 5.07, quickly released 5.08 due to a bug n 5.07, and then promptly ran out of WUs and I didn't get any.

One more added to the team. :D

Stick a fork in me! I'm done! I'm slidding in with both feet, a cold beer in one hand, a hot blonde on the other and yelling "YeeHaw! What a ride!"

Re: Nano@home

Ok, we're going to let this batch of WUs finish to end this round of testing, then pause WU production while we address several issues that have arisen. There are some new bugs to fix to be sure, but we need to implement some mechanisms that help ensure a wider distribution of available WUs. This is to help enforce the necessary parallelism for our simulations, but also to make WU availability more fair.

Email will be sent when the next round of beta testing starts in a couple weeks, and next time everybody should find several WUs available to them for crunching.

We greatly appreciate your efforts and patience in testing NanoHive@Home.
