TSWB free hardware thread  (United States)
Modified By paul on 8/5/2006 3:44:50 AM
I have many parts laying around unused that I'd be willing to donate to anyone that needs some to make up a cruncher, or to upgrade their main rig.

I've been working on a huge construction project for the last 2 years, have done really well with it. I've replaced all of my mostly Athlon XP fleet during that time, and don't really have the time or inclination to sell the stuff off. So if you need some Athlon XP gear, just let me know and I'll be happy to send it to anyone free of charge.

In addition to some mobos and cpu's, I have a range of good ddr, some small hdd's, boxes of case fans in all sizes, good heatsinks, quite a few good ATX psu's, even some decent AGP video cards. Have a switch or 2, nic's, you name it I probably have it. Also have several XP boards that need a bios replaced (I'm reasonably sure, anyway). If someone has the time to mess with them, I'll send them...

For those on a budget, feel free to PM me, I'll be happy to donate! Or anyone is free to PM me or post here with a request, add your items to the list, whatever.... Any TSWB member is welcome to join me in donating hardware, also..... Lets get some rigs up and going!

Paul

Anybody got a SlotA Athlon 700 or 750?  I got a 900 from Logan5, but my board didn't support it.  I've currently got a 600 and would like to have a little more umph.

In fact, if anyone needs the SlotA Athlon 900 w/ heatsink, they can have it.

Paul, you rock. Well, I'm in great need for a mobo for my Barton 2500. The KT400 died on me a few weeks ago. I know it's old techology, but it's a shame to let this cpu sit here unused. Your help would be appreciated. I will gladly pay you for shipping to Canada.

Re: TSWB free hardware thread  (United States)

Was wondering if anyone could use the following:

AMD XP2100+ (at least I'm pretty sure it's a 2100, hsf is still on it)

Abit KR7-A133 mobo

128mb stick of samsung PC2700

128mb stick of crucial PC2700

Also there's a big swiftech cooler to go with that cpu

How does it work with D's or 6xx series procs?  I'll play with it if nobody else wants it.  PM me...

No problem there, glad to see it went to someone who could use it.

Looking to replace the guts of an AMD-350 and AMD-500 system(they're actually crunching in win98, [EMO]crying.gif[/EMO]).  May as well get more bang for the power used.

Re: TSWB free hardware thread  (United States)
carp, I do have some combos available, but have been working 12-14hr days for a month now, and won't stop for another month. I need a bios chip for an 8Rda3 to get another XP2100 system running. Swashbuckler may be sending me one, though.
