Re: TSWB free hardware thread

Thanks go to Paul for showing me the light, and Nutcase for sending me the AB9 Pro board that I purchased a Conroe for.  Liked it so much I bought another Conroe and board, now I find I have some extra ram that I'll offer to the team, nothing special but maybe it"s an up-grade for someone.

2x512 pc3200  400   just generic, Samsung I believe.

Re: TSWB free hardware thread

Slightly large request, but does anyone have a working laptop they'd like to donate to one of my neighbors?

She's 80, best described as a "hot sh*t" and would like to teach herself what all the fuss is about.

"H.S." example: After she was widowed, she lived with a guy for 23 years (until he also died), who she first told "I don't like you!"  She says he grew on her.  She ROFL'd when I said that could also be said of fungus, mold and moss!

Wanted
 (United States)
any size IDE drive
Upgrades to two cases that have really old and slow AMD-K2s.  Power and heat does not matter(.056 per KWH for me).

Why, have to put E6600 Conroe build on hold until divorce completed.  Freedom + New Conroe = Bliss!

I'm looking for a donation (welfare doesn't go far--it's the 8th and I have $1.69 cash for the rest of the month; food's OK--got a ton of foodstamps.

I just fried the North Bridge on one BioStar M7VIG 400; moved the XP2500+ Barton, 512MB RAM (2x256 sticks) and nVIDIA GeForce4 MX420 (4x AGP) to another M7VIG 400 board.  This board went down sometime overnight, and now won't get to the login screen for Win XP Pro.

Any board with a MicroATX form factor, supporting AMD XP Barton will do.

PM paul, nutcase, Swashbuckler or Xaak for my shipping address and phone (for carriers who want it), since I have no idea how much, or whether, I'll be online.

Thanks!

Let me dig thru a couple of boxes at work.....think I may still have a spare psu for that monitor (had a couple other monitors that quit working, but I kept the psu brick as they seemed to be working ok......just not sure if they were the same one your model uses)
