I see several people buying some cpu's here lately, just thought I'd inform everyone of the price drops, new cpu's, etc. scheduled for April 22.

Thought we had posted this before, but I guess we forgot. Been knowing about it since January, the Quad core price drop is really sweet.

 Interesting, how ever, I got some bad back taxes (what would be over $1200) so I wont be able to build another Conroe until this autumn at best....

Thanks for the headsup Paul.  I won't be building until around next Christmas time for the most part, so I'm hoping that some of the Quad cores have come down even more by then.

Indeed they are. 3rd quarter roadmaps show another big drop in the Quads, to coincide with AMD's new Quad. I had the roadmap, let me see if I can find it again.

Here's some pricing for the third quarter from the same source as the above pic. Not confirmed elsewhere, but it looks like intel is really going to try and bury AMD's quad core before it gets going.

I may hold off for a bit and upgrade all my C2D boards to quads at that time, if the pricing can be verified.
